Iron dragons are the undisputed leaders of the Ferrous dragons, the seldom-seen Lawful sub-branch of dragon-kind. They view it as their mission in life to do whatever they can to restore dragons to their rightful place as creation's rulers and caretakers. Iron dragons generally avoid combat (save with red dragons, which they loathe), preferring to negotiate and barter for information. If forced into combat, iron dragons still prefer to use their sleep breath and other spells to subdue an opponent, with a mind for interrogating them later.
Please note that the natural alignment of an Iron dragon is Lawful Neutral. Iron dragon characters may be no more than one step away from the natural alignment of their race.

Subrace Traits: Edit
Ability Adjustments: +6 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution.
Dragon Breath, Sparks: In their natural form Iron Dragons can breathe a cone of super-heated sparks that deals 1d6 fire damage and 1d4 electrical damage per character level. Once a dragon breathes, it cannot breathe again for the next 60 seconds.
Dragon Breath, Sleep: In their natural form Iron Dragons can breathe a cone of sleep gas. If a creature is caught in the area, it can attempt a fortitude saves or be slowed for 1d6 + 5 rounds. The save DC against a breath weapon is 10 + 1/2 dragon's HD + dragon's Con modifier. Once a dragon breathes gas, he cannot breathe it again for the next 60 seconds.
Draconic Immunity: Iron Dragons have immunity to fire, sleep and paralysis.
Vulnerability to Cold: Red Dragons take 50% extra damage from cold damage.
Alternate Form, Humanoid: Once per day a Dragon can assume the form of a specific small or medium humanoid. The assumed form allows the Dragon to wield weapons his natural form otherwise couldnt. He may only choose one appearance to change into, which is then set forever. A Dragon can remain in his humanoid form until he chooses to return to his natural form.
A Iron Dragon may take levels in the Dragon Class.
