Driders are centaur-like creatures, appearing as Drow from the waist up, with their lower portions replaced by the abdomen and legs of immense spiders.
Promising drow often undergo a test of loyalty to Lolth; those who fail are transformed into a Drider. Because they have failed Lolth’s test, they become outcasts from their own people. However, many continue to serve the Spider Goddess in the vain hope of being returned to their original forms. Driders are most often sorcerers, although other spellcasting classes are also common.

Ability Adjustments: +2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, +3 Charisma
Darkvision: A Drider can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Bite: A Drider has a poisonous bite, and gains Weapon Proficiency (Creature).
Spell Resistance: Driders have innate spell resistance of 11 + character level.
Skill Affinity: A Drider has a +4 racial bonus to Hide and Move Silently checks, as well as a +2 bonus to Listen, Search, and Spot.
Natural Armor: Much of a Drider’s body has a hard carapace, granting a (stacking) bonus of +2 to natural armor.
Spell-like Abilities: A drider can cast the following spells 1/day: Clairvoyance/Clairaudience, Darkness, Dispel Magic, and Summon Swarm. The caster level is half their character level.
Favored Class: Sorcerer (Male), Cleric (Female).
Level Adjustment +3: Driders are more powerful and gain levels more slowly than other races. It will take more experience for a Drider to reach level 2 than it would for normal races, for example.
